Dogus Makina AS produces machines which can perform halal bovine slaughtering and will install 12 slaughterhouse plants in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Dogus Makina AS is the first company in Turkey to produce halal bovine slaughtering and processing machines without damaging the pelt, it wil make a 140 million dollar slaughterhouse investment in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Dogus Makina CEO Erkan Ozsozen, in an interview with an AA reporter, stated that the idea to invest in Pakistan first came up during Punjab State Vice Prime Minister’s visit in Turkey about one and a half years ago. Four slaughterhouses were projected to be built in Punjab in the first phase, two of which are already active and for the other two, project negotitations are in progress. Ozsozen mentioned that the total investment value of the projects that are planned to be completed in two years is 70 million dollars.
Three plants, of which investment negotiations are in progress, will have a total cost of 50 million dollars. Ozsozen mentioned that “In this way total amount of the investments made in this area will be 120 million dollars” and if everything goes well all the plants will be active in three years.
Ozsozen also informed about their investments in Afghanistan, he mentioned that on the 24th of September they signed a mutual agreement with the Minister of Agriculture of Afghanistan.
